Pall IC Acrodisc syringe filters are available in 13 mm and 25 mm diameters to suit the volume requirements of different sample sizes. Both syringe filters are available with either 0.2 µm or 0.45 µm membrane. The PSF 25 mm filters have been designed and certified to meet the exacting requirements of automation systems.
However, it should be noted that nylon syringe filters are not recommended for sample fluids which are strongly acidic. 13 mm Acrodisc syringe filters are designed for the filtration of sample volumes up to 10 mL. They feature an effective filtration area of 1.0 cm 2 and a polypropylene housing which has excellent chemical compatibility
With a female luer lock inlet and male slip outlet, the syringe filter easily fits onto the end of the disposable syringe containing the sample, as shown in Figure 1. The extract is gently pushed through the filter into a sample vial for injection, removing damaging particulates from the final extract.
