Sep 02, 2021 · Sample filtration has been shown to be an important tool for improving the results from LC-MS. In part 1 of this two-part blog series, we review the results of some recent studies that looked at the improvements made possible by sample filtration with syringe filters prior to HPLC, and how to obtain these improvements without introducing other unwanted errors and effects.
MS ® 25mm diameter syringe filters are available in two types of housing: ultrasonic welding and color coding. Ultrasonic welding housing is in transparent medical-grade PP material and facillitates the filtration observation. Color coding housing visualizes the membrane type inside for easier operation. Wide range of membrane options are offered.

As well as being suitable for the filtration of organic solvents in applications such as HPLC and UHPLC sample preparation, the hydrophobic nature of the PTFE membrane makes these syringe filters ideal to use in gas filtration or as a moisture barrier in venting applications. 25 mm Standard Acrodisc Syringe Filters.
Feb 17, 2020 · Step 2: Attach a syringe filter to the Syringe. Open the syringe filter package so that you can later pick the filter up easily, especially for individually packed sterile syringe filters. a. For sample volume < 10 mL. Draw a small amount of air (about 1 mL) into the syringe before loading the sample solution.

Product Description. This hydrophilic membrane works well with both aqueous and organic solvents. Nylon is particularly suitable for high-pH samples but should be avoided in any protein recovery applications.
Syringe filter is a cost-effective way to improve the quality of HPLC analysis, improve consistency, extend column life and reduce maintenance.By removing particulates before the sample enters the column, syringe filter allow unimpeded flow.Without particulates to create obstructions, your column will work more efficiently and last longer.
A syringe filter (or wheel filter) is a single-use, membrane-based device used for the removal of particulate impurities from small (≤ 100 mL) liquid samples ( Figure 1 ). Selected based upon the desired end application, disposable syringe filters are commonly used in labs for fast and efficient filtering, material purification, or even
• Before filling the syringe with sample, draw approximately 1 mL of air into the syringe. This will allow the air to follow the sample out of the syringe. This “air purge” minimizes fluid retention within the filter device. • Fill the syringe with the solution to be filtered. CAUTION: Use of syringes smaller than 10 mL can generate
