25 mm filters • Econofilters are designed for high throughput labs requiring economical filter packages in large quantities • moderately wide cross sectional area (4.2 cm2) • holdup volume is less than 50µl. 13 mm filters • ideal for most applications; • sample volumes are typically in the 1-10 mL range; • holdup volume is less than 10µl. 3 mm filters • ideal for small samples (< 1 mL);
Now you can read the correct pipe size (in mm diameter) in the table. This table is for 7 bars and maximum 0.3 bar pressure drop. The value given is for a straight pipe without any bends, couplings or other restrictions. How to calculate the influence of those can be found in the next paragraph.

Use 10 to 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, with at least 25 mM NaCl, pH 7.0 to 7.4, or select an appropriate buffer depending on the purpose of the separation. To prevent potential ionic interactions the presence of a low salt concentration (25 mM sodium chloride) is
Designed for fast and reliable filtration of small to medium volumes. Sartorius Minisart™ High Flow (HF) Syringe Filters are complete, ready-to-connect units with a high-flow PES membrane. It has excellent heat resistance and antioxidant performance has a very wide range of applications. The 0.45μm sterile syringe filter (PVDF membrane) has the lowest protein adsorption in the syringe filter. Please use this filter to filter protein solutions. PVDF syringe filter with 0.22µm with pore size can be used as a sterilization filter.

Microsyringe and Swinny filter holders give you the flexibility to select the membrane type and diameter that are most appropriate for your application. For sterile filtration, autoclave your filter holders with the membrane in place. Ultraclean or sterilize small volumes of liquids dispensed by a syringe or install in-line to filter larger volumes.
In scientific applications, the most common sizes available are 0.2 or 0.22 μm and 0.45 μm pores. These sizes are sufficient for HPLC use. The smallest known sterile syringe microfilter have pore sizes of 0.02 μm. Membrane diameters of 10 mm, 13 mm, 25 mm are common as well. Some syringe filters for small volumes may not resemble a wheel at all.

An insulin syringe has three parts – needle, barrel, and plunger. An insulin syringe varies in sizes from 0.25 ml to 1.0 ml. The syringe size indicates the number of units it can hold. So a 0.40 ml can hold 40 units of insulin. The larger the syringe size, the more insulin unit it can hold.
25mm. Step 3: Choose the suitable pore size based on the nature of your sample. Removal of high particulate matter with a glass fiber pre filter is critical before any drug, toxic, or dirty environmental sample is filtered to ensure the highest syringe filter membrane performance.
